To make sense of it, you must remember the details and clues that is left throughout the story and reading Notes, Documents or Journals. QB's story on the other hand.can be confusing throughout. Though it becomes much more linear and begins to make sense once you get past the second third of the game. Guess there's just some games you wont understand. Its a great game but I never fully understood control either. Felt like I was forcing myself to play it so I just quit playing after awhile. I tried Quantum Break and I couldn't get into it. I am excited for Remedy's first 9th gen game with Epic still.Αναρτήθηκε αρχικά από Chris P Bacon:I love Alan Wake. The second half of the game is weaker than the first for me which leaves you with a feeling that the game gets progressively worse as you approach the end. I was fully expecting Dylan to be a badass final boss that offered a challenge simmilar to Paul Serene, but alas it wasnt meant to be, makes me wonder if they cut the final boss out of the game and what else they might have cut. After this I thought it would be useful to max out levitation time so I maxed that out and got ground pound too (useless) then I was in the process of maxing out melee damage but the game ended and I was still 2 slots short of maxing it out and I would probably go for the shield rush, the ground pound, regular shield and seize paths in that order if I wanted to grind for those ability points but what for really? To get all the achievements? Nah.ĥ - Overall Story: This is nonsense, much worse than Quantum Break, the collectibles didnt help in this area for me at all and the ending.Ħ - Ending: Ok Remedy wants to troll you at the end of the Polaris mission, fine, but the last mission ends the way it did? I was almost expecting them to troll me again but this time it was real (I resigned when I saw the achievement and that it was the 10th mission). Enemies in all their varities are far too easy here including bosses, no options to make it more difficult outside of maybe depriving yourself of upgrades and mods maybe, you can only make it easier with things like invencibility, which I dont know why anyone would since it would sap all the fun out of the game.ģ - Powers: Where do I begin? Launch, Evade and Levitation are cool but they are also all you need to beat this game, you can skip seize and shield altogether as I didnt find them useful at all to beat the missions (might be useful in the optional bureau alert missions or in the jukebox missions but I dont know since I only bothered with them once and never actually finished them out of boredom, I finished the game with 31 jukebox tokens from those countermeasure missions), sure you can go "I am gonna make my own fun" and force yourself to use everything but I didnt enjoy it, I much prefer the time powers in Quantum Break as they are all useful and fun to use, especially Time Dash.Ĥ - Upgrade Path: This isnt well elaborate at all, all I did was upgrade health to the max first and then energy to the max and then launch to the max and that is really all you need practically to beat the game in that order, once you get multi launch (costs 8 ability points I think) you have to try really hard to die (and there are no bosses in the second half of the game anyway and the ones are there you can cheese easily). I heard some say this game is difficult and I admit the first time I died and lost some shards I thought it would be annoying but the game is actually far too easy with mods and if you follow a certain upgrade path (more on this later) you wont die much in this game if you are used to quantum break but if you wanna play like Gears you might not like it. My issues with the game off the top of my head with control in order from best to worst starting with graphics(I wont talk about some things like awful metroidvania elements and other things or else this post would be too long):ġ - Graphics: The Northlight engine is awesome but playing on the One X I am not sure it is better than Quantum Break, I am sure I would like the PC version with ray tracing more or the updated version on Series X next year, but I just rushed and played it now anyway before those hit gamepass.Ģ - Gameplay: This is the best part of the game but it is still not better than Quantum Break. I started liking Remedy with the original Max Payne on PC and I just beat Control and while cant say I am disappointed in the game (cant be disappointed since gamepass) but I have major issues with it and I think it is a stepdown from Quantum Break and I saw someone here saying Control is the best 3rd person shooter of the last decade! So help me understand this mindset (I havent played the ultimate edition so I dont know if the expansions would change my view).
